The incredibly hard-working Abell Family-"Team Abell"-have fundraised for the Neonatal Unit at Colchester for several years and have raised an  inspiring total of £8,193 by baking up a storm! 

They attend a number of local events between May and September, such as the Colchester Hospital Radio Family Fun Day.

Their eye-catching cake and tombola stalls are a true family affair. The tombola is run by Debbie's two great-nieces, aged 10 and 8, and her four-year-old great-nephew, all well-supervised by their mum and dad.

Their new challenge is catering functions organised by Debbie, her daughter, and her niece. They've organised a two-course meal for 65, a 70th birthday party, and afternoon tea for 110!

The Abells are a former scouting family who wanted to continue giving back to their community. So began their fundraising adventures!

Neonatal care is very close to their hearts. Debbie says: "Thanks to the tireless work in the Neonatal Unit, we have an amazing young man, who turns 10 next year, in our lives."
