Leaving a gift in your Will

When you leave a legacy gift to Colchester & Ipswich Hospitals Charity, you help take care of patients and their friends and family, long into the future.

That's because legacy gifts go much further. They help us plan for the future and invest in both our incredible staff and your local hospitals and healthcare centres - providing those extras that go above and beyond what the NHS can provide.

How to leave a gift in your Will

Your Will may be one of the most important documents you ever write. That's because if you have last wishes including them in your Will is a great way to be certain that they are carried out. A Will is also an excellent place to record your funeral wishes.

Your Will can make sure that the right people get whatever you've decided to leave for them. It's a lovely way to carry on looking after loved ones when you're no longer here. A great place to start is by thinking about the loved ones you'd like to include in your will. After that, you might want to consider leaving a gift to Colchester & Ipswich Hospitals Charity. By including a gift to our charity in your Will, you can write a thank you that will last forever and care for many generations of loved ones to come. You will need our full address and Charity number:

Colchester & Ipswich Hospitals Charity, Heath Road, Ipswich, IP4 5PD

Registered Charity No. 1048827

How could I include Colchester & Ipswich Hospitals Charity in my Will?

The choice is entirely yours, and any gift you decide to leave will be greatly appreciated. One of the most impactful ways to support our Charity is by leaving a percentage of your estates (also known as a residuary legacy) as, even with inflation, it ensures that your gift retains its value over time.

Gifts donated to our Charitable Funds are especially valuable because they allow us to address the most urgent needs when the funds are received. You are also very welcome to leave a gift in will to a specific area you have a special connection to or would prefer to support.

Should I let you know that I've included Colchester & Ipswich Hospitals Charity in my Will?

There is no obligation to inform us if you've decided to include a gift in your Will to Colchester & Ipswich Hospitals Charity, but we would be grateful if you choose to share that with us.

By letting us know, we can keep you informed about how gifts to our hospitals are making a difference for local patients, understanding your wishes more clearly, and have the chance to personally thank you for your generous support.
