Our Cancer Wellbeing Centres are a space to sit, talk or listen, but also a space to join a social activity or talk to a trained professional. The centre teams are always on hand to provide support to those diagnosed with cancer, undergoing treatment or living with and beyond cancer. The support they offer across the centres would not be possible without charitable funding. We were delighted to open the children's outpatient's department as the first phase of the project in December 2022 but we are continuing to raise additional money in 2023/24 so that the Children’s Department at Ipswich Hospital can be completely redeveloped transforming the experience for young patients and their families. The Breast Care Centre at Ipswich Hospital fully opened to patients after the final two services moved into the brand new state-of-the-art unit in late January 2023. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, the Blossom Appeal has now come to an end. Although the appeal has now finished, donations are still warmly welcomed. Our Butterfly Service helps make sure that no one dies alone. Volunteers, led by butterfly coordinators provide support, company and a comforting presence in the last days and hours of life. Our volunteers have supported thousands of patients and families since the service launched. But we cannot continue this vital work without the kindness of our community.
