We are delighted to share the story of a very special delivery to Colchester Hospital, made by Mary Stopher, founder of Flutter, together with herCare bag contents friend and dedicated supporter Sarah.

Mary first began delivering kidney cancer care bags five years ago, following her own personal experience with kidney cancer. During her treatment, she recognised how important it is for patients to feel supported, cared for, and understood. Out of that experience grew her wish to create a thoughtful and meaningful gift for others going through a similar journey.

What started as a single, heartfelt gesture has now grown into a powerful initiative. Flutter has gone from strength to strength, and today Mary and her supporters deliver these carefully prepared care bags and comfort cushions to patients not only in Colchester but also to wider organisations across the region.

Each box is filled with items chosen to provide comfort, encouragement, and practical support — a small reminder that no one has to face kidney cancer alone.

We would like to thank Mary and Sarah for their continued dedication and for making this latest delivery possible. Their kindness is making a real difference to patients, one box at a time.
