Summer this year saw some glorious weather and 28 golfers assembled at Felixstowe on another glorious early autumn day for the 5th Colchester & Ipswich Charity Golf Day.
Registration and raffle tickets were ably managed by Joanna and Joyce from Colchester, who generously spent their day off helping out.
A big thank you to Eliza from Colchester CCU who organised a number of wonderful raffle prizes including a £200 voucher at Fenders.

The course was in excellent condition with the greens running true and fast, and given the wind was very mild it was expected to be a very good scoring day.
With coffee and bacon butties as fuel in the tank, there was the customary team photo before everyone teed off around 10.30 AM.
The wind picked up a bit towards the end of the round making it a challenging last few holes but overall it was a glorious day on one of the oldest links courses in East Anglia.
Terry Vale came second with 37 points and first place was won by Mr Tim Brammar with an impressive 38 points. Closest to the pin was won by Alex Tripp and the straightest drive was won by Bruce Emerson.
The yellow ball competition made its return and was keenly fought over with some very good scoring. The team of Rohit Sharma, Alex Tripp, A Deboarde and J Dearden were deserved winners with 35 points.
Now for the big prize and bragging rights of their very own version of the Ryder Cup. With a healthy turnout from both Ipswich and Colchester, scoring was very close but Colchester retained the ‘ESNEFT Ryder Cup’ trophy with 201 points against 190!
"It was a wonderful day out for all and once again thank you for participating and donating generously."
They raised a total of £750 on the day. "All in a good days ‘work’."  Bringing their fundraising total over the past 3 years to a milestone amount of £3,333.
A big congratulations and thank you to the organising team for their continued support - Ram Sreenivasan, Hugo Boyce, Jo Gilbert, Christine, Joyce, and Eliza.
