Ready to go the Whole Hog?

122 days 1 hour 11 mins 15 secs until you hit the mud!

This year, The Suffolk Whole Hog is more than just an obstacle race. It’s a chance to challenge yourself, have a lot of fun (and get very muddy!) while raising vital funds for your local NHS charity.

In The Whole Hog’s 20th anniversary year, we’re recruiting a team of runners to join us on the Whole Hog route, a challenging and unforgettable experience that’s as rewarding as it is muddy. 5 miles of 30+ obstacles to test your limits.

We have 20 exclusive charity places available for supporters ready to take on one of Suffolk’s toughest and most enjoyable events.

Picture standing at the start line with your teammates, heart pumping, knowing that over the next five miles and 30+ obstacles you’ll crawl, climb, splash and scramble your way through one of the most memorable races in Suffolk. Every muddy step you take will help raise funds for Colchester & Ipswich Hospitals Charity, supporting patients, staff when they need it most.

What to expect?

Never taken part in an obstacle race before? No problem.

The Whole Hog is designed to push you out of your comfort zone while keeping things fun, achievable and unforgettable.

Along the route you can expect to:

  • Crawl under cargo nets

  • Climb steep banks and walls

  • Wade through rivers (no swimming required!)

  • Tackle tunnels, slides and jumps

  • Swing across monkey bars

  • Get very muddy

Expect to be tired. Expect to be wet. Expect to laugh a lot!

But most importantly, expect the incredible feeling of knowing every obstacle you conquer is helping raise funds that help us be there for your friends and family when they need us most.

"Fantastic day! Awesome volunteers! Great photos!"
